Manipulating AI: Deepfakes, Deception, and the Security Risks of Intelligent Systems

Artificial intelligence systems are increasingly capable of generating highly convincing text, images, audio, and video. While these technologies enable many useful applications, they also create new opportunities for manipulation, deception, and abuse. This lecture explores how AI systems can be manipulated, how deepfakes and AI-generated misinformation affect society and security, and why these challenges are difficult to detect and regulate. The session will also include discussion and interactive examples on trust, responsibility, and the future risks of AI-assisted manipulation.
